The fourth season of Bigg Boss Telugu, which will be hosted by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna for the second time in a row, will be launched in August, according to a report by the movie portal, Cinema Express. The news puts to rest rumours about the show being cancelled.

Bigg Boss Telugu will kick-start the proceedings by the end of July or the first week of August. There is a delay in production due to the suspension of shootings, but the show is not cancelled. We wanted to commence the shoot in June after shortlisting the contestants in May, but now, we have rescheduled it to June/July," a source from the production was quoted saying in the report.

The reality show's first season was hosted by Jr NTR in July 2017, while season two was hosted by Nani in June 2018. It is also worth mentioning that the third season of the show, launched last July, featured 15 contestants and singer Rahul Sipligunj went on to win the title and a cash prize of Rs50 lakh.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna will be next seen on the screen in the Telugu action drama, Wild Dog (2020), where he will be playing an National Investigation Agency Officer. Directed by first-timer Ahishor Solomon, the film will see Nagarjuna play a cop with no rules. It’s worth mentioning that the actor was recently seen playing an IPS officer in Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer (2018), which tanked at the box-office.

Wild Dog is being produced by Matinee Entertainment and the makers are yet to officially reveal rest of the cast and crew. The 60-year-old star has pinned his hopes on this project after the debacle of his last release Manmadhudu 2 (2019), which was heavily panned by both critics and audiences.

Nagarjuna also has a project in Tamil, which will be Dhanush’s second directorial film. However, rumours have emerged that the project has been shelved and Nagarjuna had alloted the dates for shooting Manmadhudu 2.
