Sony LIV to stream Scam 1992, Your Honour, Avrodh: The Sieze Within

Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story has been in the news since it was announced. Inspired from the share market scam of 1992, involving the late stockbroker Harshad Mehta, the show has been in the making since last year. Featuring Pratik Gandhi and Shreya Dhanwanthary, it will now be streamed on Sony LIV.

Applause Entertainment too will be bringing two of its new shows, Avrodh: The Siege Within and Your Honour, to the digital platform. 

Sony LIV, digital arm of the Sri Adhikari Brothers (SAB) network, has lined up a slew of fresh shows in a bid to redeem itself. It is also calling itself the 'All New Sony LIV.'  

A video released recently by Sony LIV states that they are also working with the likes of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Nitesh Tiwari, Kapil Sharma, Nikkhil Advani, Ajay Monga, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vikas Bahl, Vipul Shah and Rohan Sippy.

Avrodh: The Siege Within is based on the surgical strike after the Uri terrorist attack in September 2016. Directed by Raj Acharya, who had helmed the series 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897, the show will see veteran actor Vikram Gokhale play India's prime minister Narendra Modi. 

The second show, Your Honour, is the official remake of the Israeli show by the same name. Set in Ludhiana, Punjab, it stars Jimmy Sheirgill and is directed by E Niwas. It tells the story of an honest and upright judge, who undergoes a change after his son is involved in a hit-and-run case. 

Undekhi is yet another new show slated to be released on the digital platform. Directed by Ashish R Shukla, it features Apurva Soni, Meenakshi Sethi, Sayandeep Sengupta, and Ayn Zoya. Finally, SOT: Surgical Operation Team, an action show starring Marathi film star Gashmeer Mahajani, will also be streamed on the digital platform.
