The Pulwama attack, where 40 soldiers lost their lives, has now been made into a film, called Fauji Calling (2020). The film is not just about the attack and the lives lost, but also the toll it takes on the living. Written and directed by Aaryaan Saxena, the film stars Sharman Joshi in the lead along with Ranjha Vikram Singh, Bidita Bag, Mugdha Godse and Zarina Wahab.
The filmmakers have also unveiled the poster of the film, which shows Joshi running around happily with a little girl. We also see Singh in an army uniform, brooding in the background.
Keeping in mind that the possibility of a theatrical release is remote at present, the makers of the film are considering OTT platforms to release their film. Saxena said, “The film is ready, in fact, we were supposed to release it in May. But due to the lockdown, we cannot do it. So, I have discussed with my producers to release it on an OTT platform. Let’s see and hope for the best."
Fauji Calling has been produced by Running Horses Films and Ovez Productions.
