After the news that a caretaker at the T-Series office in Andheri, Mumbai, had tested positive for COVID-19. it is now learnt that producer Boney Kapoor's domestic help has also tested positive for the disease.

Charan Sahu, aged 23, lives with the Kapoors at their residence in Lokhandwala Complex, also in Andheri (West). Kapoor revealed that Sahu had been unwell since Saturday and so they had sent him for tests and kept him in  isolation as a precaution.

Once the test results came out, the building authorities immediately informed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The municipal health department has already begun the process of moving Sahu into a quarantine centre.

Boney Kapoor said, “Myself, my children and the other staff at home are all fine. None of us is showing any symptoms. In fact, we haven’t left our home since the lockdown started.

Kapoor thanked the government of Maharashtra and the BMC for their swift response. "We shall be diligently following the instructions and advice given to us by the BMC medical team," the veteran producer said. "We are sure Charan will soon recover and be back home with us.”

Maharashtra has so far reported more than 33,000 COVID-19 cases, of whom almost 1,250 have died.
