FIR lodged against impostors pretending to be casting for Salman Khan films

Even with the country locked down, struggling actors are being scammed by impostors. Two days after an official statement from Salman Khan, denying that his production house is conducting any casting, a first information report (FIR) was lodged against a spurious e-mailer.

Actor Aansh Arora received several casting calls, messages, and e-mails from a person who identified herself as Shruti and claimed to be working in Salman Khan Films and used the e-mail address shruti@salmankhanfilm.com. She allegedly offered Arora a negative lead role in Salman Khan's next film, which she said was Tiger Zinda Hai 3. A meeting and audition were scheduled as per mutual convenience for Tuesday 3 March at 11 am, supposedly with director Prabhu Deva.

Arora alleged that the impostor later cancelled the meeting. The reason cited was that the director was busy. The e-mail then advised Arora to take up project as training for the movie was supposedly going to start in a month.

The chats and e-mails from 'Shruti' stated that Arora would have to come to the Salman Khan Films office and send a shirtless picture as well. He was told that the role was that of a wrestler.

Recently, Salman Khan took to Twitter and issued a statement which clarified that neither he nor his company Salman Khan Films is casting for any film currently nor had they hired any casting agents for any of their future projects.

Following this clarification from Salman Khan, Aansh Arora approached the police and lodged his complaint on Saturday 16 May.
