Nawazuddin Siddiqui, family quarantined at home in Uttar Pradesh

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family have been quarantined at his ancestral house in Budhana in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the actor had sought special permission from the government to travel to his ancestral home for the forthcoming Eid festival. He was accompanied by his mother, brother and sister-in-law.
Upon reaching Muzaffarnagar on 11 May, the family was tested for COVID-19 and isolated at home for 14 days, as per government guidelines. According to reports, they have all tested negative.
Siddiqui is awaiting the release of his comic drama, Ghoomketu (2020). The film, which is about a struggling writer trying to make it big in Mumbai, will have a digital release on Zee5.
Meanwhile, the country has entered the fourth phase of lockdown beginning today. Till now, India has reported over 96,000 COVID-19 cases and the toll has crossed 3,000.
