Actor Freddy Daruwala's father has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor, who is known for his roles in films like Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014) and Race 3 (2018), lives with his parents, wife and 15-month-old son. Currently, they all are in home isolation. Their bungalow has been sealed and sanitized by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
"My dad had symptoms of seasonal flu-like fever and body ache. Hence, we took it lightly. On the third or fourth day, I thought that we should get him tested considering the current scenario. The reports that came a couple of days back showed positive results... The BMC suggested that we should keep him in a place with many rooms and washrooms. So, we kept him at home because we thought that the hospitals may be used by someone who really needs it," Daruwala told hindustantimes.com.
The actor claims that his 67-year-old father, who is in self-isolation, is recovering well. His real worry is about his son, Evaan, and he is trying his best to keep his son away from contracting any disease.
Till 12 May, Mumbai had 14,781 positive cases of COVID-19. With 28 deaths on Tuesday, the total death toll in Mumbai has risen to 556.
