My vocabulary is dizzy, says Babil as he grieves for father Irrfan Khan

No matter how hard the death of a great actor is on an industry, the death of a father is far more testing for the family. Irrfan Khan's son Babil shared his thanks for the condolences coming from friends and well-wishers.

The young man shared an Instagram story that described the extent of his grief. Thanking his friends, he wrote, "I'm deeply grateful for all the condolences you beautiful friends are pouring in for me. Although I hope you understand that right now I'm not being able to reply because my vocabulary is dizzy. I will get back to each one of you but just not right now. Thank you so much! I love you."

Irrfan Khan was rushed to hospital late on Tuesday with a colon infection. The actor had been been under treatment for a rare neuroendocrine tumour for the past two years.

But his condition worsened through the night on Tuesday and by Wednesday he was gone. Khan is survived by his sons Babil and Ayaan and their mother Sutapa Sikdar.
