Shobhita Rana to star opposite Rakul Preet Singh's brother in Ram Rajya

Shobhita Rana is all set to make her Hindi film debut with Ram Rajya. She will be paired opposite another newcomer Aman Preet Singh, who is the brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh. 

Rana has so far acted in Punjabi films like Ishq Brandy (2014) and Canada Di Flight (2016), and the Hindi film Gollu Aur Pappu (2014). She has also appeared in music videos and television commercials. 

Speaking about the film and Rana’s character, director Nitesh Rai said in an official statement, “The movie revolves around the life of three central characters and Shobhita is one of them. Due to some circumstances, she tries to end her life, but her life takes a turn when she decides to fight against all odds and create a Ram Rajya again. Her character is surely someone who everyone can connect to.”

The writer of the film Shivanand Sinha believes that the film carries an important message. “We are trying to put out a very clear message with this movie that we want the youth of our country to learn from an early age about fraternity, brotherhood and religion which will help them become good rulers and decision makers and evolve in culture, faith along with the economic condition of our country,” he said. 

Ram Rajya will be released on 2 April, which coincidentally is also Ram Navami.
