In times of extreme scarcity, the announcement of a new series feels like a fresh lease of life. This first world problem finds its solution in the latest TVF (The Viral Fever) production for Amazon Prime, Panchayat. Featuring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghuvir Yadav and Biswapati Sarkar among others, the series is set to stream on the OTT platform from 3 April.

With very few career options in sight (quite relevant and topical), Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar) decides to take up the job of a secretary at the Phulera gram panchayat. A small stereotypical village in Uttar Pradesh, it is far from the dreams and aspirations of the young man, who wishes to be an MBA and travel abroad. But till the right job comes along, he has to make do with this.

With the village head, Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and her husband, Brij Bhushan (Raghuvir Yadav), leading the pack of colourful characters, Abhishek learns to cope with the new world he is pushed into, and perhaps gets an MBA out of it.

The trailer looks fresh, relatable, and has an assortment of much-liked actors in Kumar and Gupta. The production, TVF, has already delivered the very popular web-series, Kota Factory (2019), last year.

The series will stream on the Amazon Prime Video platform from 3 April onwards.
