A number of popular artistes from Marathi cinema have come together to educate fans on how to deal with the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
The artistes have communicated through a video shared by actor Swwapnil Joshi on his Instagram page.
Along from Joshi, the video features Sonalee Kulkarni, Bharat Jadhav, Ravi Jadhav, Siddharth Jadhav, Tejaswini Pandit, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sai Tamhankar, Amey Wagh, Jitendra Joshi, Avadhoot Gupte, Prasad Oak, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Ankush Chaudhari, Mukta Barve, Subodh Bhave and, last but not the least, Sachin Pilgaonkar.
While highlighting how quickly COVID-19 is spreading around the world, they said a lot of people from the medical field as well as the civic authorities and the police are doing their best to combat this terror and urged people to ensure basic cleanliness, eat healthy food and, most importantly, stay at home as far as possible.
Amey Wagh said he had recently returned home from abroad and hence quarantined himself and will be remaining at home in the coming days.
The artistes also told the people to consult a doctor if one catches a cold or has a cough and to pay special attention to the young ones and the elderly.
Mukta Barve urged people not to abandon their pets. There have been baseless rumours doing the rounds that the novel coronavirus spreads through pet animals.
Last evening, prime minister Narendra Modi had announced a complete lockdown across India for the next 21 days.
