Actor Daniel Dae Kim is the latest international actor to test positive for the coronavirus infection. Kim joins the list of Tom Hanks, Idris Elba and Indira Varma, among others, who have also been infected by the virus. Incidentally, Kim was working on the NBC series, New Amsterdam, which also features Anupam Kher.

The actor took to Instagram to share the news of his infection. He wrote, "Hi everyone, yesterday I was diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus. Looks like I’ll be ok, but I wanted share my journey with you in the hopes that you find it informative or helpful. Hope you all stay safe, calm, and above all, healthy."

The actor is the latest in a long and increasing list of celebrities affected by the ongoing virus pandemic. Several film industries across the world, including India, have shut down on all production and theatrical releases in order to prevent the spread of the viral infection.

New Amsterdam is in its third season, with Kher having been part of the team from the first season itself. The actor plays Dr Vijay Kapoor in the series backed by NBC. Kher has not yet reported any symptoms of the virus.
