Vishal Devrukhkar has four projects lined up for this year

Vishal Devrukhkar is one of the few Marathi directors to see success quickly in his short career as director. Devrukhkar who worked as an assistant director for almost 20 films, made his directorial debut with a coming-of-age comedy, Boyz (2017).

Its sequel, Boyz 2 (2018), followed quickly. Both films dealt with a serious subject in a light manner and were hugely successful at the box office. But his third film, Girlz (2019), about three girls holidaying in Goa, failed to recreate the magic of his previous two films. Devrukhkar now has four projects lined up, all in different stages of production. 

He is currently busy shooting his next two films, Love In Dharavi and Nayansukh. Devrukhkar grew up in Dharavi, one of the most densely populated areas of Mumbai. It will be interesting to see what the film is about. He is also working on a Marathi web-series, Dhukyat Dhoka. Not much is known about it yet.

His fourth and much-awaited project, is Boyz 3. The filmmaker has yet to reveal if the third part will be a continuation of Boyz 2, or will deal with a different subject altogether.
