After a hat-trick of critical successes with Mulk (2018), Article 15 (2019) and Thappad (2020), director Anubhav Sinha is all set to return to the action-thriller genre. Reports suggest that the director will team up with Ayushmann Khurrana for the project.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the information, stating that Sinha will be making an action thriller, a departure from his recent style of films. The film, as yet untitled, is reportedly scheduled for release on 16 October.

Anubhav and Ayushmann reunite after the much-acclaimed and successful #Article15.
While Khurrana was seen recently in the ensemble social drama Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020), Sinha directed the critically reviewed Thappad (2020).
The last time Sinha went for a commercial action thriller was the 2011 flop, Ra.One, featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Sinha had also directed the 2005 film, Dus, followed by Cash (2007), which was also in the action genre.
The film will also mark Khurrana's first foray into the action genre. The actor has earned praise and fame through his portrayal of common working-class men and relatable characters so far.
The director and actor had last teamed up for the Filmfare award-winning Article 15 (2019). Khurrana is currently prepping for the release of Gulabo Sitabo (2020), featuring Amitabh Bachchan.
