Divya Dutta to star in the Punjabi feature Maa

Divya Dutta is all set to play the title role in the Punjabi feature Maa, to be directed by Baljit Singh Deo.

Deo is best known for the film Manje Bistre (2017) and has frequently collaborated with Gippy Grewal, the latest being Daaka (2019).

According to a tweet by Divya Dutta, Maa will also feature Grewal, though it is currently unclear if he will be starring in it or come on board as a producer.

Along with Dutta, well-known actors Gurpreet Ghuggi and Rana Ranbir will be starring in the film.

In another tweet, Dutta shared a picture of her along with her dog Sakhi as she had decided to take a train from Mumbai to Chandigarh to spend more time with her dog. The actress is currently in Punjab to shoot for the film and shared a colourful picture for Holi as well.

Maa will focus on the bond between a mother and her son, exploring the many sacrifices that a parent makes for her child.
