Your Honor trailer: Judge Jimmy Sheirgill tries to conceal his son's crime from the eyes of the law

We recently saw a high-octane courtroom drama in the form of The Illegal, which starred Neha Sharma in the lead. Now it’s time to get ready for Your Honor on Sony LIV. Directed by Eeshwar Nivas, Your Honor is the official remake of the Israeli legal series Kvodo.

The story is about a judge (Jimmy Sheirgill), whose son is involved in a hit-and-run accident. The 18-year-old hits a bike rider and then leaves him to die in a state of panic. The father in the judge takes over and he does his best to bury the crime, but is not successful.  

Going by its trailer, it seems the series is more of a thriller than a courtroom drama. It seems ideal for those who prefer fast-paced thrilling crime dramas.  

The series also seem to act as a mirror to society through the character of a judge, who is expected to uphold truth, trying his best to hide a crime just because it has been committed by his son. There is an impactful moment where Sheirgill asks his soldier friend (Varun Badola), whether he would have done the same thing.  

It is surprising to see Sheirgill play the role of a judge. We need to wait and watch if he fits the character. Mita Vashisht appears to be in good form. Your Honor will start streaming soon on Sony LIV.
