Varun Dhawan had recently teamed up with e-commerce app Flipkart for the first online talent hunt show in India. Titled Entertainment No 1, this first-ever stay-at-home reality show was hosted and judged by Dhawan.
The show was launched in the period of the over-two-month-long countrywide lockdown with the idea of giving people a platform to showcase their skills online from home.
Now, the first season of the show has come to an end with dancer Baba Jackson aka Yuvraj Singh winning the first prize of Rs1 crore.
Varun Dhawan took to Twitter to announce the winner. “We are all at our houses, this was the first show that I hosted. I know the struggles you have gone through. You have been giving the best performances for eight straight weeks. I wish I could come and congratulate you in person but difficult times. All the best."

On the work front, Dhawan is awaiting the release of his film Coolie No 1 alongside Sara Ali Khan. The film, a remake of the 1995 hit of the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, was slated to be released this year on 1 May but has had to be postponed indefinitely because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
