Actor-director Hemant Dhome has announced the sequel to his first directorial venture, Baghtos Kay... Mujra Kar! (2017).

The director announced the sequel on the anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji's coronation on 6 June by revealing the first poster of the film.

Director Dhome shared the poster on Twitter.

The poster sees a huge orange flag on the fort with the title of the film written on it in white font. There is a caption below the title, 'Mohim Durgabandhani', which indicates that the sequel will deal with the issue of reconstruction of dilapidated forts in Maharashtra and the politics played over this by various parties. This is a topical issue which was explored in a hasty manner in Baghtos Kay...Mujra Kar! (2017).

Hemant Dhome, who helmed the first film, will also direct the sequel. Since making his directorial debut, Dhome has directed three other films.

The Baghtos Kay... sequel will be produced by Kshiti Jog and Shreyas Jadhav and is slated to be released in 2021. The makers haven't revealed whether the sequel will see a continuation of the story from the first film or tell a different tale. They also haven't revealed the cast yet.

The first film told the story of three friends played by Jitendra Joshi, Aniket Vishwasrao and Akshay Tanksale who decide to go to London and bring back Shivaji's stolen sword from an exhibition. The film was a moderate success at the box office.
