Last month, three staff members from producer Boney Kapoor’s residence tested positive for COVID-19. All three of them are now free of the virus. The news was shared by Kapoor himself. The producer and his two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor have tested negative.

In a Twitter post, he wrote, “Happy to share that while my daughters and I had always been tested negative, our three staff members who had tested positive for COVID-19, have fully recovered and tested negative. Our 14-day home quarantine period has also ended and we look forward to starting afresh.”

Kapoor added, “We pray for the speedy recovery of all the people who are recovering and to the rest, we urge you to stay safe by strictly following guidelines given by the government.”

Kapoor thanked all those who have been selflessly fighting the COVID-19 menace. “My family and I would like to thank the doctors, healthcare workers, the BMC, Mumbai police, the state and central government for their help and support not just to us but to all across Maharashtra and India. Together we shall overpower COVID-19 virus,” he added.

One of Kapoor’s upcoming films is Maidaan, which is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of Badhaai Ho (2018) fame. It is based on the life of independent India’s first football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn will be essaying the central character.
