Many filmmmakers, both new and experienced, are making films and short films on the current COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown. Aditya Om's short film, which is now ready to be released, falls in this category.
Speaking about the film and its subject, the makers said in their official statement, "A very special thing about this short film is that it's entirely shot on an iPhone. The film highlights the fact that nature gives us warning signs, but we choose to ignore them. It warns of the impending catastrophe much before it became a worldwide pandemic."
The film was shot at various locations in Mumbai before the nationwide lockdown was imposed by the government.
Aditya has been working in the Hindi film industry for almost two decades. He has been part of numerous small budget films like Shudra the Rising (2012), Friend Request (2016) and Alif (2017) as associate producer and actor. He has also directed the critically acclaimed indie film Maassab (2017).
