Casting director Krish Kapur died in Mumbai on 31 May of a brain haemorrhage. He was only 28 years old.

It had earlier been reported that Kapur was killed in a car accident, but his maternal uncle dismissed such reports as rumours.

“He had no medical history. He was healthy and doing absolutely fine. On 31 May, he just collapsed and started to bleed. He died of a brain haemorrhage,” Bhalla told the Press Trust of India news agency.

Kapur had done the casting for films like Veerey Ki Wedding (2018), starring Kriti Kharbanda, Pulkit Samrat and Jimmy Sheirgill, Mukesh Bhatt’s Jalebi (2018) and the upcoming Boondi Raita (2020), which stars Sonnalli Seygall, Ravi Kishan and Himansh Kohli.

Kapur is survived by his wife, mother and a seven-year-old daughter.
