Applause Entertainment, the production studio behind the Indian remake of the popular American television series The Office, has announced its first international series.
According to the online news site Deadline, the studio will be joining hands with Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It Films & TV and Sunder Aaron’s Locomotive Global to develop a drama series titled Seeker.
The series will chronicle the life of an Indian guru and is set to feature both Indian and international stars.
Chadha, who is well known for her films Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Bride And Prejudice (2004) and Viceroy’s House (2017), also directed the British television series Beecham House.
She shared the news report on Twitter saying, “This is exciting”.
