The Tiger Shroff-starrer, Baaghi 3 will be re-released in theatres across Malaysia from 1 July onwards. Like other countries, cinema halls in Malaysia too were shut down earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Confirming the news, an executive from the distribution company, Antenna Entertainments, told Cinestaan.com, “It will release in entire Malaysia in selected cinemas. There will be one or two shows of the film in each theatre. Cinemas are ready to re-open from 1 July onwards.” He added that theatres would not be fully operational. “Theatres will be open for eight to nine hours on weekdays and 10-12 hours on weekends. We are not starting entire operations as we still need to maintain healthy standards,” said the executive.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 3, the third film in the Baaghi franchise, had released on 6 March. However, it could not enjoy a proper run as theatres were shut down in mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Simmba will be re-released in Australia and Fiji on 2 July. Starring Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan, the film was a blockbuster when it had released in December 2018.
Another film by Shetty, Golmaal 4 re-released in New Zealand on 25 June.
