Television and film shoots will resume again after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), Cine And TV Artistes'' Association (CINTAA), and the Indian Film and TV Producers' Council (IFTPC) resolved their concerns.
Both FWICE and CINTAA called off shooting on Tuesday, 23 June, as their demands of working in eight-hour shifts and an insurance cover of Rs50 lakh for workers had not been okayed by the IFTPC.
The film organisations had a virtual meeting yesterday and hashed out their concerns. The IFTPC has agreed to provide two sets of insurance coverage, including death cover of Rs25 lakh due to COVID-19, as well as hospitalisation cover of Rs2 lakh uniformly across the entire cast and crew, regardless of their position.

Besides the insurance, the IFTPC has assured the cast and crew that all precautions would be undertaken according to the government's guidelines to ensure their utmost safety. Additionally, the period of credit for the cast and crew has been reduced from the existing 90 days to 30 days for the next three months.
The organisations also agreed to negotiated pay cuts without actors facing any sanctions, and that everyone will continue to share their concerns for the easing of working conditions. With all these issues resolved, shooting will begin immediately.
