Actor Dhairyashil Gholap has shared a video on Instagram in which he is seen reciting a Marathi translation of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda's famous poem, 'You Start Dying Slowly'.
The actor wrote, "I feel today's generation has become superficial and this poem teaches us the actual meaning of life."
Talking about why he chose to recite this particular poem, Gholap said: "Today the whole world is going through depressing times. Pablo Neruda was a world-renowned poet and his poem, 'You Start Dying Slowly', rejuvenates you and inspires you to keep going. These days we are stuck in homes and this is a perfect time to think about our future. If we truly understand and inculcate the philosophy and meaning of 'You Start Dying Slowly', it will help us to come out of the depressing state of mind."
Gholap made his Hindi cinema debut with the historical film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), a fictionalized version of Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare's successful attempt to win back Kondhana fort for Shivaji. Ajay Devgn played Tanaji in the film directed by Om Raut. Gholap played one of the Maratha soldiers in the film.
