Golmaal Again to be first Hindi re-release in New Zealand after COVID-19

Starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Arshad Warsi and others, Rohit Shetty's film was a huge success at the box office when it was released during Diwali in 2017.

With New Zealand winning its war against COVID-19, life is heading back to normal. Movie theatres are also opening up in the country. As far as Hindi films are concerned, filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again (2017) will be the first to hit theatres in the country's post-COVID-19 era. The film, which has already had a run in New Zealand, will be re-released on 25 June.

The news was shared by Shetty on Instagram. He shared the New Zealand poster of the film and wrote, 'New Zealand decides to re-release Golmaal Again in theatres making it the first Hindi film to get a relaunch post-COVID. New Zealand is now Covid-free and is opening its theatres on 25 June with Golmaal Again. As is rightly said, the show must go on.'

Starring an ensemble cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Golmaal Again was released during Diwali in 2017. The film was a runaway success and went on to make Rs205.50 crore nett at the domestic box office.

Golmaal is the first franchise to bring out its fourth part. Hate Story became the second franchise to do so the following year.
