The Golden Globes awards ceremony is usually held on the first Sunday of the new year. Next year, because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the awards ceremony will be shifted to 28 February 2021, the date on which the Oscars were originally supposed to be held.
We are excited to announce the 78th annual Golden Globe® Awards will take place on Sunday, February 28, 2021. The ceremony will air live coast to coast 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. pic.twitter.com/dtqQj3Mmtz

The Academy Awards announced last week that they were delaying the ceremony and telecast to 25 April 2021 thus affecting other awards ceremonies as well. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is shifting its ceremony two weeks before the Oscars on 11 April.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), a group of around 85 journalists which hands out the awards, said in a statement, "To accommodate both domestic and international film and television productions, the HFPA will provide further guidance around eligibility, voting period and revised nominations announcement timing in the coming weeks."
The organisation also indicated that the ceremony, which will be co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, would telecast live from Beverly Hilton in California on NBC.
