Asha Bhosle, Mohanlal, Mammootty join Films Division's International Yoga Day celebrations

To celebrate International Day of Yoga (IDY) tomorrow, Films Division is screening a series of public awareness films titled Celebrities Speak, which will highlight the importance of yoga for physical and mental well-being. Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, actors Kabir Bedi, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Ramesh Aravind, Venkatesh, Rana Daggubati, Shiva Raj Kumar, Shivaji Satam, actresses Sonali Kulkarni, Purnima Saikia, Ritabhari Chakraborty, cricketer Anil Kumble and many others will speak about their experiences of yoga and how doing pranayam has helped them bring balance between body, soul, and mind.
The multilingual collage of ten short films featuring these aforementioned artistes will be available for 24 hours tomorrow on Films Division's website, under Documentary of the Week section, and on Films Division's YouTube Channel.
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the health-enhancing and stress-busting benefits of yoga can be beneficial. This year's International Day of Yoga will focus on health rewards and on doing yoga at home as the theme is 'Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family'.
