A day after the tragic loss of her son and composer Wajid Ali Khan, one half of the popular music composer duo Sajid-Wajid, from kidney failure reportedly complicated by COVID-19, Razina Khan has tested positive for the contagion. Along with her, a domestic worker has also tested positive.

Both have been admitted at the Surana Sethia hospital in Chembur, Mumbai, which was where Wajid Ali Khan was also admitted.

A relative of the Khans told the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), “She has tested positive for COVID-19. She and her house help, who stays with her and takes care of her, have tested positive. They are in the same place where Wajidbhai was admitted.”

The relative said both have only displayed mild symptoms and are stable. "The doctors said there is no cause for worry. But they have to stay in hospital because they have tested positive.”

Some reports have said Wajid Ali Khan had also tested positive for COVID-19, but there has been no confirmation yet by the hospital.
