Abhay 2 trailer: Ram Kapoor shines as unapologetic baddie for the first time

The first season of the Hindi web-series Abhay had Kunal Kemmu in the lead and the focus was mainly on him. But season two of the show introduces a powerful character of a menacing villain played by Ram Kapoor.

In fact, the trailer for Abhay 2, which was released recently, focuses largely on Kapoor with Kemmu making only a brief appearance.

This is the first time Ram Kapoor is playing an out-and-out negative character and, going by the trailer at least, he has nailed it. He seems to be portraying the kind of villain that you hate instantly.

Interestingly, the description of the trailer says Kapoor’s character has no name, which makes it even more intriguing. The trailer simply describes him as ‘criminal mastermind’. Going by his behaviour, it seems he is a seasoned criminal.

While the story of the second season is not known, Ram Kapoor plays someone who turns Abhay’s world upside-down. 

The first season of Abhay saw Abhay Pratap Singh (Kemmu) enter the dark world of crime to eliminate some baddies while dealing with his own demons. It also starred Sandeepa Dhar, Elnaaz Norouzi and Anupriya Goenkar.
