Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan has promised to take legal action against Abhinav Kashyap after his allegations that Khan and his family colluded to sabotage Kashyap's career and projects.
Khan confirmed that the family plans to take legal action against the Dabangg (2010) director.
Kashyap put out a post on Facebook that levelled a number of serious accusations against brothers Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Salman Khan, alleging that they sabotaged his career, forced people to back out of projects with him, and even sent him threatening messages.
Kashyap wrote, "The best part is after 10 years, I know who my enemies are. Let it be known that they are Salim Khan, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan... I refuse to cow down and will fight on till I see the end of either them or me. Enough tolerance. It’s time to fight back."
In reply, Arbaaz Khan said the family will initiate legal action against Kashyap. A report in the newspaper Hindustan Times quoted Khan saying, "In fact, we have already taken legal action even before this post; it was after his earlier post [when Kashyap spoke about having differences with Arbaaz and Salman that led him to step down from the Dabangg franchise]. We have had no communication with Abhinav since we started working on Dabangg 2 (2012). We parted ways professionally. Don’t know where all this is coming from. We are taking legal action."
Salim Khan, father of Arbaaz and Salman, spoke to the Bombay Times marketing supplement of The Times of India newspaper saying, "Ji haan, humne hi sab kharab kiya hai na. Aap pehle jaake unki filmey dekhiye phir hum baat karte hain [Yes, yes, we are the ones who have ruined everything. First go and watch his films, then we will talk].”
He added, “Unhone mera naam daala hai na unki statement mein. Unhe shayad mere pitaji ka naam nahi pata. Unka naam hai Rashid Khan. Unhe hamaare dadaon aur pardadaon ke naam bhi daalne dijiye. [He has named me in his statement, perhaps he does not know my father's name. It is Rashid Khan. He should also put in my grandfather's and forefathers' names]. Let him do whatever he wants, I am not going to waste time reacting to what he says."
Incidentally, Abhinav's brother, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, has chosen to stay out of the feud. He wrote on Twitter: 'Abhinav had told me to stay out of his business.'
For the media calling me and people who want to ask , treat this as my statement. “More than two years ago , Abhinav had told me clearly to stay out of his business and it’s not my place to comment on anything he says or does.“ Thank You
