Veteran ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas has sung a Marathi song for the first time in the form of the single ‘Rangdhanoocha Zhula’ by Apeksha Music. Kavita Paudwal is his co-singer in the song composed by Ashok Patki and written by Mandar Cholkar.
Sharing his thoughts on the song, Udhas said in an official statement, “It is a dream come true for me, since I was very keen to do a Marathi song. And what better than a song composed by the legendary Ashok Patki ji, and written by Mandar Cholkar. It's a romantic and melodious duet with the very talented Kavita Paudwal, a song which music lovers will cherish for a long time. I am thankful to Apeksha Music for fulfilling my wish.”
‘Rangdhanoocha Zhula’ is a song about the monsoon and which is why the makers have released it at a time when the monsoon is all set to arrive in India.
