The Indian Express Film Club is organising the screening of Tanuja Chandra’s documentary film, Aunty Sudha, Aunty Radha. This will be followed by a webinar discussion featuring Chandra, the producer of the film, Anupama Mandloi and film critic Shubhra Gupta.
The film delves into the experience of Chandra’s two elderly aunts, aged 86 and 93, who spend their last days together in Lahra, Uttar Pradesh. The documentary brings alive the quiet lives of the two women in their sunset years.
The film premièred at the Madrid International Film Festival and has been screened at several festivals in India and abroad, receiving widespread appreciation from audiences.
The Film Club screening will be organized on 14th June, and the discussion will follow the next day.
