Ee Ma Yau, Bebaak now available at Dharamshala International Film Festival’s online Viewing Room

Lijo Jose Pellissery’s award-winning film Ee Ma Yau (2018) and Shazia Iqbal’s short film Bebaak are both available to watch at Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF)’s Viewing Room. They join four other films which can be viewed online at the festival’s website until 23 June.

The festival's Viewing Room, co-founded by filmmakers Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam, began hosting previously screened films from their festival online at the end of March. Sonam stated on the festival website, "Here at DIFF, we are trying to keep our spirits afloat by turning once again to cinema to inspire and encourage us. The deep humanism and artistic insights that inform the best of cinema are as relevant in the age of coronavirus as they have always been.”

Besides Bebaak and Ee Ma Yau, the films Amma Meri (2019), Eye Test (2017), A Gesar Bard’s Tale (2014) and the documentary When Hari Got Married (2012), co-directed by Sarin and Sonam, can be streamed online for two weeks.

The DIFF is expected to be held from 29 October to 1 November, depending on the situation in the country regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
