Mohit Suri completes first draft of Malang 2

Filmmaker Mohit Suri has announced the sequel to his successful romantic thriller, Malang (2020). The director shared the news on social media along with a picture of his laptop, with the Malang 2 draft open on it. He also quoted auteur Alfred Hitchcock in his post. "To make a great film you need 3 things: The script, the script and the script - Alfred Hitchcock," he wrote.

Starring Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu, Malang released on 7 February and was a moderate success at the box office. Recently, the film's cast had a virtual reunion on a group video call.

The filmmaker has, however, not revealed any details about the cast and crew of Malang 2.

Besides Malang 2, Suri is also working on the Ek Villain sequel, starring John Abraham, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles.
