Yaara teaser: A tale of friendship that lasts through time

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara (2020) seems to be a classic tale of guns, crime and friendship. The teaser opens with a quote that alludes to a betrayal. The period action drama features Vidyut Jammwal, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma and Kenny Basumatary as four friends who fall into a life of crime.

Not a line of dialogue is spoken amongst the friends and actress Shruti Haasan, who is the female lead opposite Jammwal, but there seems to be an underlying issue of trust as the friends have greyed.

The four friends seem to have known one another since they were children and graduate quickly to a life of guns and crime. They even pull off a local bank robbery together. But as they grow older, the stakes get higher and it doesn’t seem likely that they will make it out alive.

Yaara, which also stars Sanjay Mishra, is due to be released on 30 July, which, coincidentally, is International Friendship Day 2020.
