The first look reveals the actor sporting a beard and a turban, sitting before a fire with his hands folded as if in prayer.
The show also features Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aditi Sudhir Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, and Adhyayan Suman in pivotal roles.
The series is produced and directed by Prakash Jha, whose Pareeksha: The Final Test is scheduled to arrive on Zee5 on 6 August.
This is Deol's second digital project after Netflix's Class Of 83 (2020), where he plays the role of an IPS officer, Vijay Singh. Backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Atul Sabharwal, the film is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book by the same name.
Aashram will stream on MX Player from 28 August.
