Actress Mansi Sharma will next be seen in the Netflix film Ginny Weds Sunny (2020). She plays actress Yami Gautam’s friend Manpreet in the film directed by Puneet Khanna
Sharma, whose character is a sweet, reticent Punjabi girl, shared her excitement about the upcoming film. “I am extremely happy being part of this film, and of course, how can one not be when you have such talented actors like Yami and Vikrant featuring together,” she said. “I auditioned for Ginny Weds Sunny and after a few days I got a call from the casting agency informing me that I was selected for the role.”
The actress celebrated her birthday during the shooting and received a pleasant surprise. “My birthday was celebrated on the set while we were shooting in Mussoorie and Vikrant ordered a cake for me,” Sharma said. “I was completely honoured, it was the best day of my shoot and a memorable one.”
Sharing her experience of working with her co-stars, she said, “It was a great experience working with Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey. I learned a lot from them. Even on sets, we used to have so much fun. I remember one conversation with Vikrant where he shared his journey of acting with us. He was so modest and down-to-earth.”
The actress has previously appeared in the Vidya Balan-starrer Begun Jaan (2017) and the Punjabi film Amaanat (2019). Besides, Ginny Weds Sunny, Sharma also has a role in Ankita Lokhande’s next yet-untitled feature film.
