Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, featuring the unlikely combination of Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, is set to restart shooting in October this year. The film, announced back in January, is scheduled for a release in February 2021. The shooting began in Varanasi in March this year, but the global COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to that.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the information, along with an unreleased look from the film.

The English daily, Mumbai Mirror quoted Rai saying, "Yes, I am really excited to start the next schedule planned for October in Madurai. I have the full support of the cast and the crew. We are hoping things will improve by the time we are ready to shoot."
The film will reportedly follow the journey of the three characters, with shoots scheduled in Delhi, Mumbai, and Madurai. In doing so, the film will also be among the first Hindi films to be shot in real locations in the post-pandemic situation. For now, most shoots are restricted to studio setups and limited locations.
Written by Himanshu Sharma, the film will also see AR Rahman providing music. This is the first collaboration between the trio of Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Khan.
The film is a joint production venture between Rai's Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series, and Cape of Good Films.
