After its very hilarious trailer, Lootcase has released a simple, sweet song about the red case that brings joy and a lot of complications into the life of Nandu (Kunal Kemmu). The song, which has been composed by Amar Mangrulkar and written by Kapil Sawant, has a melody and rhythm that feels comforting.

The visuals of the song depict the sudden change in the life of Nandu after he discovers the treasure in the suitcase. From eating at posh restaurants to taking his little boy out for treats, or shopping with his wife at the mall, the middle-class man suddenly gets a new lease of life.

Mangrulkar's composition, built on the foundation of the guitar's rhythms, puts a smile on your face. The rhythm, accompanied by just a simple whistle and harp, is surprisingly enjoyable. Vivek Hariharan's mellow voice suits the song. Sawant's lyrics focus on the joy and happiness which money brings, using words like 'tutti fruti' and 'gullak', which resonates with middle-class sentiments.

Short, simple, and sweet, 'Laal Rang Ki Peti' definitely leaves you wanting more.

The film, directed by Rajesh Krishnan, will be released on Disney+Hotstar on 31 July. Watch the song below, and let us know if you are keen to watch Lootcase.
