Sonu Sood launches Pravasi Rojgar app to help migrants find jobs

Actor Sonu Sood is slowly turning into a real-life hero for many in the country. The actor hit the limelight following his consistent efforts to help migrants stranded in the lockdown find their way home. Now Sood has launched the free of cost Pravasi Rojgar app, which will help these unemployed migrants and youth across the country find new jobs post the pandemic. 

The actor made the announcement on his Facebook page late on Wednesday with a request to "watch the space tomorrow."

The Pravasi Rojgar app will provide key information and help initiate employment opportunities for several unemployed and out of work people in this country. 

Speaking to PTI, the actor said, "Lot of thinking, planning and preparation have gone into designing this initiative over the last few months, in order to ensure that it is holistic and buildthe cs on the work already being done in the country."

The actor has roped in over 500 companies in the fields of construction, BPO, healthcare, engineering, apparel among other fields to provide employment opportunities. Reports suggest that the initiative will be supported on ground level through community outreach in the villages.

The actor is also in the process of setting up call centres to help provide information helplines to the service. Applicants will also be able to use the service for developing job skills, like learning English.
