Following a favourable reception, SonyLIV's original web-series, Undekhi, is set to have a second season. Director Ashish R Shukla confirmed this, saying the series will ''go on the floors as soon as a script is ready".
Undekhi, featuring Harsh Chhaya and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, is currently available on the SonyLIV OTT platform.
Speaking with the IANS news agency, Shukla said, "Yes, it’s obvious because the show had a cliffhanger and lot many revenges (sic) are remaining, so yes, it has to happen. The process has been started and the creator of the show is working on the script."
The ten-episode series revolves around a murder investigation that involves a rich family bringing in political and emotional complications. Shukla said, "We will go on the floor as the script gets finalized. It surely feels like people have huge expectations of us and the show. The second season will be bigger, better and will have more surprises."
Responding to viewers' complaints about certain deaths in the show, the director said, "They are disappointed with some deaths and connecting with the show personally, and it’s rewarding. We assure them that because of their love we are working harder on the next season and it will make them love the show even more."
