Punjabi actor Ammy Virk announced that his much-waited film, Qismat 2 (2021) will be releasing on 2 April next year, on Instagram. Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the film is a sequel to Qismat (2018), one of biggest hits in the year it was released.
The original cast of the film, with Virk and Sargun Mehta in the lead, will also be a part of the sequel.
The story of Qismat revolved around Shivjit (Virk),, who convinces his parents to let him go to Chandigarh to complete his studies. Instead, he meets Bani (Mehta) and hatches an elaborate plot with her, to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. In time, they fall in love with each other but things do not go as planned. The story of Qismat 2 is still under wraps.
The musical duo of B Praak and lyricist Jaani are all set to once again deliver foot-tapping and soulful numbers.
The shooting of Qismat 2 (2021) is slated to commence in October this year.
