During the making of Dil Bechara (2020), Sanjana Sanghi would never have imagined that her debut film would be talked about so much in the months to come.
But Dil Bechara has turned out to be the last film of leading man Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide last month at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
The Mumbai police is investigating the reasons for Rajput ending his life. In that connection the police have been questioning close friends of the actor and some of his film industry colleagues.
Sanghi was also questioned yesterday at the Bandra police station. It is not known what she was asked and what she told the police.
Sanghi, however, has left a moving and sorrowful message as her Instagram Story which suggests that she will not act in a movie again.
The translation of her message in Hindi reads, “Goodbye, Mumbai. We met after four months. I am now heading back to Delhi. I found your streets a bit unusual. They were deserted. Maybe the sorrow in my heart is changing my perception. Or maybe right now you too are sorrowful. Are we meeting again? Soon, or maybe never.”
Whether the young actress is actually thinking of giving up her career will only be known in the coming months.
