Actresses-turned-parliamentarians Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan will start shooting for their next film, to be directed by Anshuman Pratyush, on 6 July.
Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan were previously seen together in Birsa Dasgupta’s Crisscross (2018) and Raja Chanda’s Kelor Kirti (2016).
In the action-packed film, Chakraborty will be paired with Yash Dasgupta.
Quite similar to screenwriter Anshuman Pratyush's directorial debut Panther (2019), the plot of this film, too, will be based on terrorism.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of another film of the director, Baazi, also featuring Chakraborty along with Jeet, could not be completed. The unit had to fly back home from London in March, leaving the shooting schedule incomplete.
While the shooting of television series resumed last month in Bengal, it has taken filmmakers more time to announce the dates for commencing their projects.
The rest of the cast of Pratyush's as-yet-untitled film has not been announced so far.
