After being in home quarantine for six days, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya were shifted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai yesterday, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
Both mother and daughter had tested positive for COVID-19 last Sunday. Earlier, Rai Bachchan's father-in-law, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, and her husband Abhishek had also tested positive and been admitted to the Nanavati hospital.
Both father and son are reportedly in isolation wards and are responding well to treatment. Amitabh has been regularly issuing updates about his health on Twitter.

Mumbai has so far recorded almost 100,000 COVID-19 cases, according to data released by the state government. Sixty-two people died of the illness yesterday, taking the city's toll to 5,582.
