The makers of Bhuj: The Pride Of India (2020) released the first look of Ajay Devgn as Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik earlier this year. The film tells the true story of 300 women, who built an emergency runway, which helped the Indian Air Force defeat Pakistan in the 1971 war. The women were headed by Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, who will be played by Sonakshi Sinha in the film.
In her first look from the film, the actress appears fierce and intense as Madharparya. Sinha stands tall in a traditional avatar in the midst of explosions and gunfights.
The poster was shared by Devgn on social media. He wrote, “Here is the first look of Sonakshi Sinha as Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, the brave social worker who took 299 women along with her to support the Indian Army! Bhuj: The Pride Of India a crucial incident from History will unveil soon with Disney + Hotstar.”
