Rishi Saxena to make his Marathi film debut in Jungjauhar

Rishi Saxena, who gained popularity with the Zee Marathi show Kahe Diya Pardes, is now set to make his debut in Marathi films. The actor will be seen in the upcoming historical Jungjauhar (2020).
The actor, who has also acted in the web-series Moving Out, shared the news on social media along with a poster of the film.
Jungjauhar is directed by Digpal Lanjekar, who had earlier helmed historical epics like Farzand (2018) and Fatteshikast (2019). The film is based on the battle of Pavankhind, where 600 Maratha soldiers, led by Baji Prabhu Deshpande, held off 10,000 Bijapuri soldiers led by Siddhi Jauhar in a narrow mountain pass near Vishalgad till Shivaji was able to make it safely there from Panhala.
The film also features Ajay Purkar, Akshay Waghmare, Astad Kale, Harish Budhade, Ankit Mohan, Vikram Gaikwad, Prajakta Mali and Sameer Dharmadhikari. Jungjauhar is produced by Almonds Creation and Chintamani Developers.
It will be interesting to see what role Saxena will essay in this historical drama.
