Coronavirus update: Actress Rachel White tests positive for COVID-19

Actress Rachel White, known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating herself at home in Kolkata.

White revealed the information on Twitter and asked her fans to pray for her.

I have tested COViD19 positive. Quarantined at home. Please keep me in your prayers as I set off on my path to recovery. 🙏

Two days ago, when actress Koel Mallick tweeted that she had tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease, White had sent prayers for the family. Mallick’s father, veteran actor Ranjit Mallick, mother Deepa and husband Nispal Singh have all tested positive.

The US-born White has not disclosed any information about her symptoms but said she is on the path of recovery.

Rachel White is best known for her work in the Hindi film Ungli (2014), Bengali films Har Har Byomkesh (2015), Devi (2017) and One (2017), and the web-series Mismatch.

A few days ago, Bengali cinema lost veteran actor and assistant director Arun Guhathakurta to COVID-19.
