Veteran actor Anupam Kher’s mother Dulari, his actor-brother Raju Kher, sister-in-law Reema and niece Vrinda have all tested positive for COVID-19.
In a video shared on social media, Kher said his mother's appetite had been poor and she had been feeling weak for some time. But her blood test was normal. So, on the doctor’s suggestion, a COVID-19 test was done and the result was positive.
Following this, he, Raju Kher, Reema, Vrinda and nephew Pranit also took the test. Raju's test was positive, as was his wife and daughter's. Anupam's and Pranit's tests were negative.
Kher's mother has been admitted at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in suburban Andheri while Raju and his family have quarantined themselves at home. The municipal authorities have also been informed, Kher said.

Kher also offered a piece of advice to citizens. “If any of your family members, especially parents, are not feeling hungry, then do get them tested,” he said.
Last night, Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek also tested positive. They have been admitted at the Nanavati hospital at Vile Parle. Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya have tested negative.
